As the logo of the Ritz-Carlton Café is a brand worldwide used, we had to create a uniqueness around it for the one in Macau to allow this branch to stand out on its own. As the menus were the cornerstones of the project, the idea was to design them as books. French literature is as complex and rich as it is own cuisine. The sizes of the menus were based on the standards of the 1900s books, as their designs. I used old engraved illustrations, as well as redesigned old graphic elements. We worked closely with the interior design team who used the same illustrations as decoration.
